Farm Holiday tourism in Tuscany invites the visitor to experience firsthand the region's food and wine production.
Our aim is to encourage the appreciation and preservation of agricultural traditions.

Erta, meaning steep slope, is an ‘agriturismo’ near Casole d’Elsa in the heart of the Sienese countryside where animals roam freely and human hearts are open to emotions that only our land and our fathers can offer.

Erta is a farmhouse that has been lovingly restored in keeping with the rural architecture of the Sienese hills.

The interiors are furnished and crafted according to tradition.

The Swimming Pool

The 6 x 12m pool, open from May until September lies invitingly amongst rose bushes and olive trees. It represents a place in which to spend an idle and idyllic afternoon after site seeing or the setting for a summer party.

Dining on the terrace at Erta is a unique experience.

Time comes to a standstill as one watches the sunset, sipping a glass of Risala and while the sun sinks behind the hills, Varno discreetly fills the table with his culinary marvels before disappearing silently into the kitchen.

The last carefree hours of the day, chatting with friends thus pass, at times well into the night only to be interrupted by the light of the sunrise.
